Every two years the GMA NSW Board recognises an individual with the Fellow Award. This award is given to an individual who has been a member of GMA for at least 10 years and has shown exemplary commitment in the service and achievements of the organisation as well as their Club.
Last night at the NSW Golf Industry Awards, the GMA NSW Board recognised two individuals who fulfilled this criteria, namely Brenden Ellam, General Manager at Ryde Parramatta Golf Club and Trevor Harrison, General Manager at Nelson Bay Golf Club.
“Brenden has seen many challenges and opportunities in his time in golf management,” GMA NSW Fellow and GMA Life member David Burton said.
“Brenden has been successful at bridging his passion as a terrific golfer to the business that he loves. To contribute what he has to GMA while facing these challenges and undertaking club improvements during his time is extremely impressive.
“His calm demeanour has also meant that he has been a pleasure to work with on the GMA NSW Board. I fully support Brenden’s fellowship and hope other managers will follow his footsteps.”
Trevor has been a member of GMA NSW for 18 years and served the organisation as secretary of the Board for many years.
“Trevor has willingly given his time to attend GMA events and now as a regional manager brings great insight to the Board of matters concerning Clubs outside the metropolitan area.
“Trevor, on behalf of the Board I would like to express our gratitude for your long service to the Industry and provide you with the Award of GMA NSW Fellow as a small sign of our appreciation.”
Brenden and Trevor join an illustrious group of GMA NSW Fellows including David Burton, Paul Hinton and Bill Francis.
